Lot Size Consistency Rule

B
Written by BTF Prop Funding

At BTF Prop Funding, traders are required to maintain consistent position sizing across their trades.

You are not allowed to increase or decrease your lot size by more than ±1 lot compared to your previous trade.

This rule is designed to prevent erratic risk behavior and ensure disciplined execution.

How it works

Each new trade must be placed within a reasonable range relative to your last trade size.

  • If your previous trade was 2.0 lots, your next trade must be between 1.0 and 3.0 lots

  • Any trade outside of this range will be considered a rule violation

Example

  • Trade 1: 2.0 lots

  • Trade 2: 2.8 lots ✅ (valid)

  • Trade 3: 3.5 lots ❌ (invalid — exceeds +1 lot rule)

  • Trade 4: 0.8 lots ❌ (invalid — exceeds -1 lot rule)

Important

Splitting positions or opening multiple entries will still be considered as one combined position for the purpose of this rule.

Violating the lot size consistency rule may result in account breach, trade invalidation, or account termination.
