What is the Maximum Total Loss?

B
Written by BTF Prop Funding

The maximum total loss represents the total amount a trader can lose in their account, including both realized and unrealized (floating) losses.

In BTF Prop Funding, under the Direct Funding Plan, the maximum allowable total loss is 8% of your initial account balance.

Example

If you have a $100,000 account, your maximum total loss is:

$100,000 × 8% = $8,000

This means your equity — including open positions — must not fall below $92,000 at any time.

Falling below this threshold will result in an account breach and loss of funding.
