What is the maximum daily loss?

B
Written by BTF Prop Funding

At BTF Prop Funding, the maximum daily loss is set at 4% of your account’s highest balance or equity (whichever is greater), and it is calculated daily.

The daily drawdown is determined as follows:
At the start of each trading day, we take the higher value between your account balance or equity, and apply a fixed 4% limit to define your maximum allowable loss for that day.

This rule is designed to ensure traders maintain consistent risk control and avoid excessive losses within a single trading session.

Example

If your account balance is $100,000, your maximum daily loss is $4,000.

This means your equity — including open trades — must not fall below $96,000 at any time during the trading day.
