Are EAs and trade copiers allowed?

At BTF Prop Funding, we support the use of technology to enhance trading performance — as long as it is used responsibly and within fair trading standards.

EAs are allowed, provided they are personally developed or customized by the trader and reflect their own trading strategy or logic.

However, the use of commercially sold, mass-distributed, or arbitrage-based EAs — especially those designed to exploit latency or platform inefficiencies — is strictly prohibited.

Trade copiers are only permitted between accounts owned by the same trader.

Copy trading between different individuals (including friends, family, or third parties) is not allowed under any circumstances.

Any activity involving EAs or trade copiers that indicates automation abuse, coordinated trading, or third-party account management may result in immediate account disqualification and termination.

At BTF Prop Funding, our goal is to encourage the use of technology to enhance execution and consistency — not to bypass discipline or proper risk management.
